Project Overview | Design System

As a Senior Interaction Design consultant embedded with Target's onsite UX team, I partnered closely with product, engineering, and accessibility teams to help establish the first iteration of Target's Retail Design System. Using Atomic Design methodology, I conducted a comprehensive content and UI audit and designed reusable, responsive components across Target.com page types and breakpoints, creating a scalable foundation for consistent digital experiences.

I documented existing patterns and translated them into a structured design system using Bootstrap-based responsive layouts. Working closely with product managers, engineers, and accessibility specialists, I helped define component behaviors, visual standards, and accessibility considerations to support a more consistent and scalable customer experience.
